Shared Resources
All shared resources are governed by the Scientific Leadership Council, which is made up of the Center Director, associate center directors for basic science, cancer control and clinical investigations, other scientific program leaders, the director of the biostatistics core and two members of the Research Administration staff as ex-officio members.
The Scientific Leadership Council sets policy for:
The cores, strategic planning related to the cores and programs, establishing new cores, setting charges and setting priorities for institutional budgeting. Day to day operation of each core is the responsibility of the Scientific Director, staff coordinator, and designated staff member from Research Administration. The management of the operational budget for most cores is overseen by the laboratory operations manager in Research Administration.
