Moffitt Cancer Center recognized as one of the best hospitals again in 2010-11
Moffitt Cancer Center has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals, No. 19, for the treatment of cancer in the country, as well as being the best in the state of Florida. This is the 12th year in a row that Moffitt has appeared on the news magazine’s cancer list.

Personalized Medicine Coalition Award for Leadership to be Awarded to Moffitt Cancer Center CEO
William S. Dalton, Ph.D., M.D., the President, CEO, and Center Director of Moffitt Cancer Center has been honored with the 2010 Leadership in Personalized Medicine Award from the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC) for his pioneering work putting the concepts of personalized medicine into practice for the benefit of patients. The PMC Award recognizes an individual whose contributions in science, business, and/or policy have helped advance the frontiers of personalized medicine.

Working Mother magazine has named Moffitt Cancer Center one of the 2010 Working Mother 100 Best Companies. Employees at Moffitt enjoy plenty of flexibility and opportunity as they grow their careers while having families. This is the third year in a row that Moffitt has been recognized by the magazine.

Moffitt Cancer Center ranked in the Top 100 Best Places to Work in IT
The Information Technology department at Moffitt Cancer Center is ranked No. 13 on Computerworld’s 100 Best Places to Work in IT for 2010. Moffitt moved ahead 56 spots from last year’s ranking of 69. The magazine surveyed industry members and distinguished Moffitt as a leader in compensation and benefits, challenging work, career advancement and employees’ overall satisfaction with their work environment.
